Measuring Tape Calibration in Bangladesh
ION Engineering calibrates steel and fibreglass measuring tapes against a certified reference length bench or standard, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
What We Calibrate
Steel Measuring Tapes
Retractable and long steel tapes used in construction and engineering.
Fibreglass Tapes
Fibreglass survey and long-length measuring tapes.
Surveyor’s Tapes
Long-length tapes used in land and site survey work.
How We Calibrate a Measuring Tape
The tape is compared against a certified reference length bench or standard tape at multiple points along its full length, under a specified tension, with deviation recorded at each point — since a long tape’s error is rarely uniform along its length, and a single-point check at the near end will not reveal it.
What’s included
- Multi-point comparison along the tape’s full length
- Deviation recorded at each point
- Stated measurement uncertainty
- QR-verifiable certificate
Measuring Tape Calibration FAQs
Can very long tapes (30m, 50m, 100m) be calibrated?
Yes, long survey tapes are calibrated against a suitably long reference bench or baseline under the correct tension.
How often should a measuring tape be calibrated?
Annually for tapes in routine construction or survey use, more frequently for tapes used in legal or contractual measurement.
What measurement uncertainty do you report?
Uncertainty is stated on your certificate; our full accredited scope is published on our calibration capabilities page.
Is the certificate independently verifiable?
Yes, every certificate number can be checked using our online verification tool, with no login required.
