Micrometer Calibration in Bangladesh
ION Engineering calibrates outside, inside and depth micrometers against certified gauge blocks and reference standards, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
What We Calibrate
Outside Micrometers
Standard outside micrometers across their measuring range.
Inside Micrometers
Bore and inside-diameter micrometers.
Depth Micrometers
Depth-measuring micrometers used in tooling and mould work.
How We Calibrate a Micrometer
The micrometer is checked at multiple points across its range against certified gauge blocks, with flatness, parallelism and zero-error also verified, and as-found/as-left readings recorded — the checks that catch a worn spindle or anvil a simple gauge-block reading alone would miss.
What’s included
- Multi-point calibration using certified gauge blocks
- Flatness, parallelism and zero-error checks
- Stated measurement uncertainty
- QR-verifiable certificate
Micrometer Calibration FAQs
How often should a micrometer be calibrated?
Annually for general workshop use, more frequently for micrometers used in tight-tolerance precision work.
Do you calibrate inside and depth micrometers the same way?
The method follows the same principle — certified references appropriate to each type — adapted to how inside and depth micrometers are actually used.
What measurement uncertainty do you report?
Uncertainty is stated on your certificate; our full accredited scope is published on our calibration capabilities page.
Is the certificate independently verifiable?
Yes, every certificate number can be checked using our online verification tool, with no login required.
