Pressure Calibration

Pressure Switch Calibration in Bangladesh

ION Engineering calibrates pressure switches used for alarm and trip functions in industrial systems, verifying the actual set-point and deadband against a traceable pressure reference, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

Scope

What We Calibrate

High & Low Pressure Switches

Set-point verification for high- and low-pressure trip switches.

Differential Pressure Switches

Trip-point testing for differential pressure alarm switches.

Vacuum Switches

Set-point verification for vacuum trip switches.

Method

How We Calibrate a Pressure Switch

The switch is subjected to a rising and falling pressure from a traceable reference source, with the actual trip (set) point and reset (deadband) point recorded as-found, before any adjustment, and as-left afterward — because a switch that trips late or early is a safety issue a simple continuity check will not catch.

What’s included

  • Set-point and deadband verification, rising and falling
  • As-found and as-left readings
  • Stated measurement uncertainty
  • QR-verifiable certificate

Questions

Pressure Switch Calibration FAQs

Why calibrate a switch instead of just testing continuity?

A continuity test only confirms the switch works electrically; it does not confirm the pressure at which it actually trips, which is the number your safety system relies on.

Can this be done on an installed switch?

Yes, where the line can be safely isolated and pressurised on-site; otherwise the switch is removed for bench-level testing.

What measurement uncertainty do you report?

Uncertainty is stated on your certificate; our full accredited scope is published on our calibration capabilities page.

Is the certificate independently verifiable?

Yes, every certificate number can be checked using our online verification tool, with no login required.
