Standard Weight Calibration in Bangladesh
ION Engineering calibrates reference and standard test weights (Class M, F and E where applicable) against certified mass standards traceable to national references, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
What We Calibrate
Individual Test Weights
Single reference weights used to verify scales and balances.
Weight Sets
Complete weight box sets used in laboratory and QC work.
Large Mass Standards
Higher-capacity weights used for platform scale and weighbridge checks.
How We Calibrate a Standard Weight
Each weight is compared against a higher-accuracy-class reference mass using a precision comparator, with the conventional mass value and its uncertainty determined and reported — the traceability chain that everything else in a weighing programme, from a lab balance to a weighbridge, ultimately rests on.
What’s included
- Conventional mass value determined by comparison
- Stated measurement uncertainty per weight
- Traceability to national mass standards
- QR-verifiable certificate
Standard Weight Calibration FAQs
Why does the reference weight itself need a certificate?
Every scale or balance calibration relies on the reference weight’s own accuracy being known and traceable; without that, the scale calibration has no defensible basis.
Do you calibrate full weight box sets?
Yes, each weight in the set is calibrated individually and reported on the certificate.
What measurement uncertainty do you report?
Uncertainty is stated per weight on your certificate; our full accredited scope is published on our calibration capabilities page.
Is the certificate independently verifiable?
Yes, every certificate number can be checked using our online verification tool, with no login required.
