Storage Tank Calibration Service in Bangladesh
Dip-chart (capacity table) calibration for storage, underground, diesel and edible oil tanks — accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, for accurate inventory measurement.
What Tank Calibration Actually Produces
Tank calibration measures the actual internal geometry of a storage tank and converts it into a dip chart, or capacity table, that maps a dip (or ullage) reading to a precise volume at that level. Without a calibrated dip chart, converting a dip reading to volume is an estimate based on the nominal tank drawing — not the tank’s real, as-built capacity, which is what inventory reconciliation and custody transfer actually require.
What We Calibrate
Storage Tanks
Above-ground vertical and horizontal storage tanks for industrial and commercial sites.
Underground Tanks
Underground fuel and chemical storage tanks, including fuel station tanks.
Diesel & Fuel Tanks
Generator and vehicle diesel storage tanks used for consumption tracking.
Edible Oil Tanks
Bulk edible oil storage tanks for food and beverage facilities.
Documentation
- Dip chart / capacity table mapping dip reading to volume
- Calibration certificate with stated measurement uncertainty
- As-found data confirming the tank’s actual as-built capacity
- QR-verifiable certificate
Why an Accurate Dip Chart Matters
- Accurate stock reconciliation, not a nominal estimate
- Defensible figures for custody transfer and billing
- Detects tank deformation or settling over time
- Supports fuel and inventory audit requirements
Tank Calibration FAQs
How often should a tank be recalibrated?
A dip chart generally remains valid unless the tank is modified, repaired, re-based or shows signs of deformation or settling; some commercial and custody-transfer applications set a fixed recalibration interval regardless.
Can underground tanks be calibrated without excavation?
Yes, underground tank calibration is carried out through the existing access points without excavation, using the tank’s dip point and fittings.
What measurement uncertainty do you report?
Uncertainty is stated on the calibration certificate accompanying the dip chart; our full accredited scope is published on our calibration capabilities page.
Is the certificate independently verifiable?
Yes, every certificate number can be checked using our online verification tool, with no login required.
